The Embassy of Afghanistan in London took part in CFAB’s 56th International Spring Fair & Food Festival 2015

cfab1CFAB marked its 60th Anniversary by organising 56th International Spring Fair that raised funds for Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) on the 12th and 13th May 2015 at Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall. Every year over 80 Diplomatic missions take part by hosting a stall which sell products and food that are specialities of their respective countries.

The Embassy of Afghanistan in London organised a stall to represent Afghanistan’s traditional handicrafts like handmade silk shawls, semi precious stone jewelleries and home decorations made by Afghan women in Afghanistan.

HRH Princes Alexandra ,special guest of the evening, visited Afghanistan’s stall and admired handicrafts made by Afghan women. She visited Afghanistan in the 70s which she recalled memorable and magnificent.

cfab2The Fair attracted more than 6000 visitors. Afghanistan’s handicrafts and products were admired by many visitors. The earnings made were donated to support the charity for Children and Families Across Borders.
