Press Release: Embassy of Afghanistan in London Condemns Terrorist Attack at Kabul Mosque.

Charge’ d’ Affaires Liaquet Ali Ameri and staffs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in London with great sorrow, strongly condemns today’s barbaric attack on innocent civilians at Baqir-al-Aulom Mosque in Kabul.  

At least 34 innocent civilians killed and more than 100 wounded in a terrorist suicide bombing at a mosque in the capital Kabul.

Civilians including women and children were among victims who gathered for prayers in the mosque. Terrorist group Islamic State have claimed responsibility for today’s attack.

Charge’ d’ Affaires and Staff of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in London while strongly condemns such barbaric attack on civilians, believe that “such cowardly terrorist attacks will not weaken the will and determination of Afghans living side by side in peaceful and prosperous society. Afghans lived peacefully for centuries in a religiously diverse, culturally tolerated country”.

Charge’ d’ Affaires and Staff of the Embassy, convey their deep and sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to the people of Afghanistan and also pray and wish the wounded get well and recovered soon.
