President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani honored today Sgt. Eessa Khan for eliminating six terrorists who attacked the parliament building yesterday morning. As a token of appreciation, the President awarded Sgt. Eessa Khan an apartment.
Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and a number of high-ranking government officials were also present in the ceremony that was held in ARG this morning.
The President praised the courage, bravery and valor of a solider like Sgt. Eessa Khan and commended the efforts of National Security Forces in quelling enemy attacks.
Referring to the terrorist attack on parliament building, President Ghani said that the quick reaction by the security forces prevented what could have been a painful tragedy. Sgt. Eessa Khan acted quick and eliminated all the six terrorists before they attempted to make it to the building.
The President praised Sgt. Eessa Khan’s valor and called him a brave son of this land.
Sgt. Eessa Khan thanked the President and called it an honor to be serving in the ranks of the security and defense forces of Afghanistan. He vowed to continue defending the country with all that is in his power and ability.
