Consular Updates




All documents that require Legalization by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s Consulate Section in London must first be certified by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).

Documents from Afghanistan need to be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan before legalisation by the Consulate Section of the Embassy of Afghanistan in London.

Please note that the legalisation process can take up to 1 day.

Note: All applicants are required to BOOK an appointment (To Book your appointment ONLINE click here)  before coming to the Consulate.

Educational Documents Legalisation: Must bring ORIGINAL certificate and FCO attested certificate.  Without ORIGINAL education certificate, documents will not be attested.


Please note that each document must be legalised separately. Applications can be made in person or by post. If the documents are sent by post, a covering letter and self-addressed and stamped envelope must also be sent to us.

Commercial/Business Legalization Fee: £300.00

Educational Legalization Fees: £150.00 * (For Non Afghan Students/Graduates Only)

Educational Legalization Fees: £10.00 * (For Afghan Students/Graduates Only)
