Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani leading an official delegation met with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of UAE, expressed condolence for the martyrdom of the five diplomats of UAE in Kandahar.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan expressed condolence and sympathy over the martyrdom of UAE Diplomats, and said that being a victim of terrorism and extremism for years; the government and people of Afghanistan recognize the pain and sorrow of UAE people.
Afghan Foreign Minister underlined that martyrdom of the five UAE diplomats alongside two members of national assembly, two diplomats and a number of local officials of Afghanistan in Kandahar’s terrorist attack indicate that violent terrorism is the common enemy of Afghanistan and UAE and this heinous attack will further strengthen the determination of both countries to fight against this phenomenon.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan further added that the Afghan government has firm intention for identifying and following the perpetrators of this incident and will share information with UAE in various stages of the investigation.
Subsequently, Minister of Foreign Affairs of UAE H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked the government and people of Afghanistan over expressing the sympathy, and said that Afghanistan has always been a brotherly and friendly country of UAE and this incident will not damage our cooperation with Afghan people.
He further added that the cooperation of UAE will continue with the government and people of Afghanistan like before.
