Deputy Foreign Minister for Management and Resources Participates at the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan

Deputy Foreign Minister for Management and Resources Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha, who traveled to Ashgabat, attended the ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. While delivering his speech Dr. Andisha pointed to the Cultural and historical similarities of the two countries and depth and breadth of bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural and social areas.
Dr. Andisha called the role of Turkmenistan important in the development of regional economic cooperation in the framework of large projects such as TAPI and regional electricity and railways transmission.
Mr. V.Hadjyev also pointed to the cultural commonalities and high level relations in different fields between the two countries and reaffirmed his country’s commitment for the implementation of different bilateral and multilateral projects such as energy transmission, transport corridors, railways and facilitating trade and transit.
On the sideline of this ceremony, Dr. Andish met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Mr. V. Hadjyev and discussed different areas of bilateral cooperation, including joint projects between the two countries and different agreements.
In this meeting, both sides talked on the 7TH RECCA preparation meeting which is scheduled to be held on November 14-15, 2017 in Ashgabat. They also exchanged their views on priorities outlines within the framework of 7th RECCA meeting agendas, including side events of trade, academic and youth associations, and scheduling the preparation process.
