Mr Ahmad Zia Siamak Herawi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in London, inaugurated a private school of Educational and Cultural Foundation in London on Saturday 11 September 2015.
A group of Afghan students, parents, and numbers of experienced and highly qualified scientific and cultural figures also participated at this event.
Chargé d’Affaires Herawi, during his speech, thanked Mr. Abdul Qadir, the President of the Foundation and Cultural Center “Dastyar”, for his valuable efforts and his role in establishing and supporting the project and said that dealing with the education of youth and children in exile is vital and necessary.
Chargé d’Affaires Herawi said that learning the native languages, strengthens the links to the motherland, where they belong to, provides resources for better understanding and research and creates sense of respect and dependence to the native land.
The acting Ambassador added that for students who are learning here and dealing with teachers who speak and teach their native languages creates an environment where they can learn a lot about history, culture and valuable assets of Afghanistan. On behalf of the Afghan Embassy in London, Mr Siamak Herawi promised to assist the foundation in all fields, especially providing the school textbooks.
It is worth mentioning that at this school the subjects of mathematics, science, religion, history, English as well as Pashto and Dari languages will be taught.
