Ambassador Jawad met with Sir Nicholas Kay, United Kingdom’s new appointed Ambassador to Kabul

Ambassador Said Tayeb Jawad met with Sir Nicholas Kay, the new appointed ambassador of the United Kingdom to Afghanistan. Ambassador Kay presented his credentials to President Ghani in August 2017, succeeding Dominic Jermey who served as British Ambassador to Afghanistan since February 2016.

Kay was previously the United Kingdom Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, the Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan and the Ambassador to Democratic Republic of Congo and Republic of Congo.

Ambassador Jawad congratulates Sir Nicholas Kay on his appointment and discussed various topics and the countries mutual partnership. Ambassador Jawad emphasised the important role of UK commitments and efforts in Afghanistan and hoped that Ambassador Kay would strengthen the role and put more efforts toward two nation’s friendly partnership and mutual interests.
